In the Beastly Vision that Daniel has Daniel as Foreteller 5 in Daniel 7, he becomes aware of what God will do in the future with his chosen people, Israel. This first of Daniel’s prophetic visions will help us see God’s purpose in history and how that weaves into the tapestry of Israel’s fortunes and misfortunes. They need to turn to God and recognize Jesus as Messiah. And yesterday wouldn’t be too soon.

Daniel was an old wise man out of the public eye but not irrelevant. In Daniel 5, there is the handwriting on the wall that sets Belshazzar’s knees a’ knockin’. In these post-election days, what is the handwriting on the wall for Christians? Our culture is less and less familiar with God’s priniciples and how they’ve made us into the nation that we are. And Christians are less concerned with the importance of standing for God’s Way. There are great lessons awaiting us in Daniel 5.Daniel 4
